Response to Covid-19 & the BC Ministry of Health

We have reviewed the protocols mandated by the BC Ministry of Health prior to our welcoming guests for the 2021 season.  We are pleased to let you know that we have been cleaning and sanitizing our B&B according to these published requirements ever since we opened in 2015!  You can rest assured that we will continue to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and safety for every guest. Initially, we are open April 1 for Laburnum Cottage.  We hope to open the main house (The Nest & The Seaview) later in the Spring as restrictions are relaxed.  Keep checking back with us!

Regarding physical distancing on the balcony.  The balcony is shared between The Nest and The Seaview Room.  It is a large balcony with 2 sofas which are placed over 6 feet apart.  Therefore each couple is at a safe distance from one another.  The balcony measures 14' 4" x 6' 6".  The distance between the sofas is 8' providing more than the required physical distance separation.

A delicious custom-made breakfast is included every day of your stay.  Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 10:00.  If you are concerned about physical distancing for breakfast, as there may be 2 other guests in the main house other than yourselves, there are a number of choices as to where and when your breakfast can be served ensuring separation from the other 2 guests. Just let us know.  Of course, Laburnum Cottage is self-contained and breakfast is delivered to the Cottage at your chosen time.

You can also take comfort in the fact that Ruthanne has a certificate in Basic Infection Prevention & Control from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queens University - Kingston, Ontario. The B&B is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness and incorporates the principles of basic infection prevention and control; and the requirements of the BC Ministry of Health, enabling guests to enjoy a relaxing and worry-free stay.
