THINGS TO DO AROUND SIDNEY

Adventures abound around Sidney!  Activities like kayaking, whale watching, a trip to Sidney Spit by launch or kayaking your way there! Butchart Gardens must be seen, especially since it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004.  High tea at Butchart's is always elegant and delicious.

How about getting hands-on with sea cucumbers and urchins in the Touch Pool at Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea - an inter-active aquarium and learning centre, located at the end of Beacon Ave. You don't want to miss the Bevan Fishing Pier, accessed off the Sidney Waterfront Walkway.  Beautiful views of snow-covered Mount Baker, too. Easily accessed from the bottom of Beven Avenue in downtown Sidney.

For those who enjoy wines and ciders, there are two close-by wineries and a ciderhouse:  A number of craft breweries in Sidney, too.

A beach nearby the Bed & Breakfast is only an 8 minute stroll along the country road and following a path through the pine forest to a West Coast beach.  Lots of kelp, shells and sunshine.  Even the BC Ferries pass by enroute to Vancouver.
